Bookmaker Ratings: Prediction Two – Total Games Over 40 – 1.93.
Match Predict – Handicap (+5) games for Kyrgios
If Sinner gave Djokovic a fight, why can’t Kyrgios do it? Nick is playing fantastically at this tournament. At the very least, he can resist the former world #1.
Total Games – Over 40
Surprisingly, Djokovic has never beaten Kyrgios. Kyrgios has beaten Novak twice. He did so in 2017. Novak probably remembers these facts, so he will try to correct the statistics. However, we don’t believe it will be easy for Novak. Nick probably has the best serve on the tour. At the very least, he has to put up a fight against the favourite.
Preliminary review and match prediction for Novak Djokovic vs Nick Kyrgios
Novak Djokovic:
Djokovic reached the final of a Grand Slam tournament for the 32nd time. This is a record for the men’s tour.
Most Grand Slam men’s singles final appearances:
32 – @DjokerNole
31 – Roger Federer
30 – Rafael Nadal
19 – Ivan Lendl
18 – Pete Sampras#Wimbledon | #CentreCourt100 pic.twitter.com/EPd8EB4Tmk— Wimbledon (@Wimbledon) July 8, 2022
In the context of the upcoming match, another fact is more impressive. He reached the Wimbledon final for the fourth time in a row. On three previous occasions, he took the title. In total, out of seven previous finals at Wimbledon, he has lost only once. That was a game against Andy Murray.
In the semi-finals, Djokovic scored a strong win over Cameron Norrie (2-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-4). Novak started the match poorly again, had a weak first set, but played almost perfectly from the second set onwards. In general, the intrigue did not last long, despite the efforts of Cameron.
Novak has shown on several occasions at this tournament that he can get out of almost any situation. The clearest example was his quarter-final encounter with Jannik Sinner (5-7, 2-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-2), which was a close one, losing 0-2 in sets. At one point, it seemed like that was it, the finish, but in the end, the tennis world witnessed a fantastic comeback.
Djokovic is the only tennis player in history to have at least 8 finals each at three different Grand Slam tournaments.

Nick Kyrgios:
For Kyrgios, the upcoming final will be his first at the Grand Slam level. Certainly, Nick’s success came as a surprise to many, but still, he was also partly very lucky.
Nick was supposed to face Rafa Nadal on Friday, but Rafa was unable to make the match due to a torn abdominal muscle.
“I didn’t sleep well last night. I slept for probably an hour because of the excitement. With such anxiety, I was already so nervous, even though I don’t usually do that. I’m all bubbling inside, I’m thinking so much about the Wimbledon final. I’m like a crazy ball of energy right now.
Right now I just want to go out on the court and practice. I want the final to start already,” Kyrgios said after it was revealed that Nadal would not be able to play in the semifinals.
Still, Kyrgios cannot be called a random finalist. He had already beaten Stefanos Tsitsipas (6-7, 6-4, 6-3, 7-6) in the third round, before stopping Brandon Nakashima (4-6, 6-4, 6-7, 3-6, 6-2) and Cristian Garin (6-4, 6-3, 7-6).
Kyrgios is the lowest-ranked Grand Slam finalist since 2008.
