Chris Sutton drops prediction for Japan vs Spain World Cup clash
Japan and Spain are set to face each other in the final and the most decisive game of Group E on December 1.
Luis Enrique’s side kicked their journey with a massive 7 – o victory over Costa Rica. However, dropped points at Al Bayt Stadium in the battle with Germany which ended up in a 1 – 1 draw.
The East Asians, meanwhile, took advantage of Hansik Flick and his side in their opening World Cup game. But, had a disappointing result on the second matchday losing to the South American outfit by a narrow 1 – 0.
Ahead of the match, pundit Chris Sutton has predicted the result of Japan vs Spain which is scheduled to take place at the Khalifa International Stadium.
“I suspect Japan’s chance of progressing may have disappeared with their defeat by Costa Rica.
“Even a draw here might not be enough to send them through, and I certainly don’t see them beating Spain.
“I don’t see there being many goals, but Spain have played the best football in the tournament and been the most eye-catching side, and they should be too strong.” stated the pundit via BBC.
Chris Sutton’s prediction: Japan 1 – 2 Spain
